Becoming the One
On a morning when I was feeling particularly devastated by all the misery that was life that day. I had just ended a situationship for what seemed like the thirteenth time. I needed a change and I always turn to the bookstore when I’m feeling this way. The first book I came across was this one. I learned what self-love was for the first time in my life and also learned more about how to actually progress in my healing journey.

This is How you Heal
Brianna Wiest is probably one of the best author’s that I’ve read on the topic of self-sabotage and the ways in which we keep ourselves stuck from healing and ultimately moving on from our past. Highly recommend!

This Is How You Heal
“Healing is not a one-time event. It can begin with a one-time event - typically some form of sudden loss that disrupts our projection of what the future might be. However, the true work of healing is allowing that disruption to wake us from a deep state of unconsciousness, to release the personas we adapted into, and begin consciously piecing together the full truth of who we were meant to be.”
If there were ever a book that I would recommend in order to fast track your journey, this would be it! For sure a 5 star read!!

A Course In Miracles
A Course in Miracles (ACIM or The Course), is a complete self-study spiritual thought system. It teaches that the way to universal love and peace is by undoing guilt through forgiving others. The Course thus focuses on the healing of relationships and making them holy. A Course in Miracles also emphasizes that it is but one version of the universal curriculum, of which there are “many thousands.” Consequently, even though the language of the Course is that of traditional Christianity, it expresses a non-sectarian, non-denominational spirituality. A Course in Miracles, therefore, is a universal spiritual teaching, not a religion.

The Mountain is You
I can honestly tell you that this book was like therapy for me!
I was getting my hair done one day and telling my stylist about a book that I was reading that seemed to be changing my life. She said that one book a friend of hers always recommends as life changing is The Mountain is You. I went straight to Chapters and got a copy for myself and a friend of mine. Both of us have been experiencing dramatic life shifts since reading this book. I highly recommend!

When Things Fall Apart
When I first began my healing journey, I most certainly felt as though my world was fall apart. I felt as though I were falling off a cliff into the abyss and I had no idea how to stop it or what would come of me. Been there?
In comes When things fall apart by Pema Chödrön. A must read for anyone looking to learn how to stop identifying so tightly with all of our seeming problems of the world.

The Disappearance of the Universe
I have been reading and re-reading this book for quite some time. It was recommended to me by a dear friend who teaches and studies A Course In Miracles. This was the first book that I read that began to unravel how I feel about the Bible and Christianity.
Check it out for yourself!

The Body Keeps the Score
I read this book in order to help my husband cope with his PTSD. He said to me one day, how far did you get in this book? You may relate to it. This is probably the most powerful book I’ve ever read in understanding the illness.
-

The Buddha & The Borderline
As someone who secretly suffers with Borderline Personality Disorder, this book was the best that I read to understand that I’m not the only one who suffers with invisible illness.
-

Ask & It is Given
As the first full spiritual book that I read, this one opened my mind to the possibility that there really is a power at play in our lives that we can influence with our minds.
